Location: Durrington
Salary: £90 – £95 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

If so, GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in Durrington.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an essential part in supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional learning within the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to provide targeted assistance, ensuring that all pupils can access the curriculum and succeed in their studies.
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students across different subjects.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Encourage students’ engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
- Support children with additional learning needs, promoting inclusion and participation.
- Help maintain a positive and focused classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress and report any concerns to teaching staff.
- Support with classroom organisation, supervision, and resource preparation.
- Contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and inspiring learning environment.
Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desirable).
- Experience working in a school setting, ideally supporting pupils as an LSA or a similar role.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
