Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)

Pay Rate: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join schools in Rotherham. This role is an excellent opportunity for those interested in teaching or education to step into the classroom and support students across a variety of subjects.
Role Overview:
As a CS, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to pupils in the absence of their usual teacher. You will ensure students remain engaged in learning, maintain classroom behaviour, and provide continuity in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes and deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects.
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
- Support pupils to stay on task and achieve lesson objectives.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups.
- Promote safeguarding and uphold pupil welfare at all times.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Confidence to lead groups and adapt to new environments.
- A passion for education and supporting pupils’ progress.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
