Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools based in Salford 

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Pay: £90–£130 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Flexible / Temporary / Full-Time and Part-Time Available
Start Date: Immediate starts available


About the Role

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in education? We’re looking for reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to join our team and work across a range of secondary schools in the Salford area across KS3 and KS4. 

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom supervisors looking to gain valuable school-based experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and provide feedback to teaching staff.

  • Support pupils in their learning and promote high expectations.

  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff.


About You

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Confident in leading a classroom and managing behaviour.

  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and dependable.

  • Able to communicate effectively with young people and staff.

  • Ideally hold relevant classroom experience. 

  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check on the update service.
