Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Hoyland (S74)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hoyland (S74). As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Foster a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional regulation and personal growth.
- Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to develop and implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
- Monitor progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continued development.
Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (highly desirable).
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
