Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S62)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Rotherham (S62). This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping young learners build confidence, develop coping strategies, and achieve both academically and personally.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Create a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional regulation and learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to promote motivation, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Assess progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide constructive feedback to support continued development.
Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (preferred).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and behaviour support.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
