GSL Education are seeking a Product Design Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in York as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking department. Part Time applicants will be considered.
About the Role as a Product Design Teacher:
- Teaching Product Design across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons that develop students’ practical and theoretical understanding of design principles.
- Assessing and tracking student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
- Encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and independent thinking in a workshop-based learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and a positive learning culture.

Product Design Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching Product Design or a similar Design Technology subject at GCSE level.
- Strong classroom management and a passion for inspiring young learners.
- A creative and practical approach to delivering curriculum content.
