Salary: £88.92 – £95 per day

About the Role
The Learning Support Assistant will provide essential support to pupils across the school, helping them access the curriculum and develop independence. Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff, you will support learning activities, provide 1:1 and small group assistance, and contribute to a positive classroom environment. Your support will have a direct impact on pupils’ progress, engagement, and school experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons and activities tailored to pupil needs.

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development.

  • Help implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.

  • Assist with personal care needs where required, maintaining dignity and sensitivity.

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and confidence.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs or SEN.

  • Understanding of child development, behaviour management, and communication strategies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.

  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete all relevant safer recruitment checks.
