Salary: £90 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Part-Time

About the Role
The 1:1 SEN Support Assistant will provide dedicated support to an individual pupil with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals. Working closely with teachers and SEN staff, you will provide targeted 1:1 support, implement interventions, and help create a calm, inclusive classroom environment. Your role will have a direct and positive impact on the pupil’s learning and overall school experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN, ensuring their learning needs are met.

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning activities.

  • Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and communication development.

  • Help implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and track progress.

  • Assist with personal care needs where required, maintaining dignity and sensitivity.

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience supporting children with SEN or additional learning needs.

  • Understanding of child development, behaviour support, and communication strategies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff.

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive in supporting pupils.

  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete all relevant safer recruitment checks.
