Salary: £90 – £95 per day

About the Role
The SEN Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop independence. You will work alongside class teachers and SEN specialists to deliver interventions, provide 1:1 support, and contribute to a calm and inclusive learning environment. Your work will have a direct impact on pupils’ progress and experience at school.
Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.

Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development.

Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.

Assist with personal care needs when required, ensuring dignity and sensitivity.

Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and confidence.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience working with children with SEN or additional learning needs.

Understanding of child development, behaviour management, and communication strategies.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow teacher guidance.

Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.

Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete all relevant safer recruitment checks.
