PMLD Learning Support Assistant
Redbridge | £90–£120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) | Immediate Start | Full-Time, Monday to Friday

You’ll work closely with pupils who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)—providing personalised support, promoting independence, and ensuring that every child feels valued and included in their learning journey.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a PMLD Learning Support Assistant, your role will be varied, dynamic, and deeply rewarding. You will:

Support pupils with PMLD through tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions.

Assist with personal care and daily routines while maintaining dignity and respect.

Create engaging sensory-based learning experiences to support communication and cognitive development.

Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement individual education and care plans.

Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and wellbeing.

Encourage curiosity, confidence, and small steps toward independence.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive PMLD Learning Support Assistant who brings patience, creativity, and commitment to every day. You’ll ideally have:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with PMLD, SLD, or complex learning needs.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The ability to stay calm under pressure and show empathy in challenging situations.

An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
