Pay Rate: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Your Key Responsibilities

In this rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

  • Work closely with teachers to adapt and deliver engaging learning activities that meet individual needs.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and self-confidence.

  • Support communication and social development through patience and creative approaches.

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with the wider SEN team, therapists, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes.

What You’ll Need

To excel as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or community settings).

  • Excellent communication and empathy skills.

  • A proactive, calm, and resilient attitude.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
