Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a skilled SEMH Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Dinnington (S25). This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient and empathetic teacher to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal development of pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them achieve academic progress and personal growth.
Responsibilities of SEMH Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Create a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
- Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage motivation, resilience, and personal growth.
- Use restorative approaches and effective behaviour strategies to support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to inform ongoing teaching strategies.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
