Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S66)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an inspiring SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Rotherham (S66). This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who thrives on helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence, resilience, and self-belief.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and behavioural challenges.
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages emotional wellbeing and academic success.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral teams to implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement, self-regulation, and motivation.
- Manage behaviour effectively through restorative and consistent approaches.
- Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to support continuous improvement.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (desirable).
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
