Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Rotherham (S65). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled teacher who is committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
- Implement personalised learning and behaviour plans in collaboration with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral teams.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement, motivation, and personal growth.
- Use restorative approaches and positive behaviour strategies to support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviour effectively.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to colleagues, parents, and carers.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
