Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S61)
Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Rotherham (S61). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is committed to creating a positive learning environment where every pupil feels valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse learning and emotional needs of pupils.
- Create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes trust and respect.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, and external professionals to implement tailored learning plans.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive social skills.
- Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively, following school policies.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support academic and personal growth.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching and behaviour support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
