Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Chesterfield
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who enjoy supporting pupils in a structured classroom environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Ensure pupils remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
- Provide guidance and support to pupils as they complete set work.
- Report any issues or progress to teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Requirements for the role of Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour calmly and confidently.
- A genuine interest in supporting pupil learning and development.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
