Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term supply
Pay: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate starts available
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting a secondary school in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about education, eager to make a real difference in the classroom, and looking to develop their career within a supportive school environment.
You’ll work alongside teachers to help pupils reach their full potential — providing 1:1 or small group support, assisting with classroom activities, and helping maintain a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities

Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs (SEN)

Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

Assist with lesson preparation and classroom resources

Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning
About You

Experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

A genuine passion for supporting education and student progress
Qualifications (desirable but not essential):

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience supporting SEN students
-
Degree or relevant childcare/education background
