Job Title: SEN Teacher

Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school community in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who strives to inspire, guide, and empower pupils with diverse learning needs to reach their full potential.
As an SEN Teacher, you will design and deliver personalised lessons that cater to the varied needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs, enabling them to engage fully with the curriculum and achieve measurable progress.
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
- Foster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and included.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Use a range of teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques to support academic progress and personal growth.
- Encourage pupils to build confidence, resilience, and independence both inside and outside the classroom.
- Track and evaluate pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching methods as required.
Requirements for SEN Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience working with pupils with SEN, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or moderate learning difficulties.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and classroom management.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
