Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant (Day-to-Day) to join a friendly and inclusive school in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity to support teaching staff and make a real difference in pupils’ learning and development.


As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Work with pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
  • Help create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Assist in monitoring and providing feedback on pupil progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to enhance learning outcomes.


Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a classroom or SEN setting is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed academically and personally.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
