Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a friendly and inclusive school in Littlehampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential support to pupils, helping them reach their full potential both academically and emotionally.


As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication or learning challenges.
  • Offer targeted one-to-one and small-group assistance to ensure pupils can engage fully with the curriculum.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to design and implement tailored learning strategies.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and greater independence among pupils.
  • Help maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
  • •        Monitor and document pupil progress to guide future teaching approaches and interventions.

Requirements for SEND TA:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable attitude when working with children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for supporting young learners to succeed in both learning and life skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
