GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking a Safeguarding Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive co-educational secondary school in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated professional to play a key role in promoting the safety and wellbeing of students.
As a Safeguarding Administrator, you will be an essential part of the school’s safeguarding team, ensuring all records, processes, and communications are managed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for ensuring young people are supported and protected.
Safeguarding Administrator Responsibilities include:

Provide administrative support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and the safeguarding team.

Maintain and update confidential safeguarding records and files in line with school and statutory procedures.

Handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and accuracy.

Manage safeguarding referrals, logging concerns, and ensuring timely follow-up actions.

Liaise with external agencies, parents, and staff regarding safeguarding matters.

Support with meetings, reports, and the preparation of safeguarding documentation.

Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Safeguarding Administrator Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Safeguarding Administrator or in a similar school-based administrative role.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality principles.

Excellent IT skills, including experience with school data systems and Microsoft Office.

High level of organisation and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive, reliable, and supportive team player with a genuine commitment to student welfare.
