GSL Education are delighted to be supporting a rural primary school local to Goole in their search for a dedicated and versatile Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This welcoming, community-focused school is looking for a committed individual who can provide both general classroom support and dedicated 1:1 assistance for a pupil with Autism (ASC).

The Role:

This is a varied and rewarding position  perfect for a,‘jack of all trades’ Teaching Assistant who enjoys working across multiple year groups and supporting children at different stages of their learning journey. Your role will include:

  • Providing general classroom assistance across a range of age groups.

  • Offering 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism, promoting engagement and inclusion.

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities.

  • Helping maintain a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment.

  • Encouraging pupils’ independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.

About You:

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:

  • Qualified to at least Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).

  • Experienced in working within a primary school setting (desirable).

  • Confident supporting children with Autism and additional needs.

  • Adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working flexibly across year groups.

  • A positive, nurturing, and proactive member of the school community.

Contract Details:

This role offers a fantastic ‘temp to perm’ opportunity.
You will complete your first 12 weeks through GSL Education, after which — for the right candidate — the school will offer a direct, permanent contract.
