MFL Teacher – Secondary School – Winchester, Hampshire

GSL Education are seeking a committed full-time Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Winchester from January 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, foster a love of languages, and help students achieve their full potential. The school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators. This is a fixed term contract on offer after a probation period has been completed.

Role Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in modern foreign languages, tailored to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.

Job Requirements of the MFL Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in one or more modern foreign languages (e.g., French, Spanish, or German).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
