Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Assistant

Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Mentor Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Dinnington. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in developing positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional regulation in a structured and nurturing environment.
As a Behaviour Mentor Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with behaviour management both in and outside the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans.
- Assist in the use of behavioural de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting motivation, self-confidence, and resilience.
- Encourage pupils to engage positively with learning and social interactions.
- Monitor pupil behaviour and progress, providing feedback to inform interventions.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor Assistant:
- Experience working with children in a school or SEMH setting is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
