Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Are you a university student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education? GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join a supportive school community in Poole as Teaching Assistant, starting immediately.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students’ learning and development. Working alongside teachers and support staff, you’ll help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
- Assist in the delivery of lesson plans and classroom activities
- Promote positive behaviour and a safe, respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers to implement effective support strategies
Requirements
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in university
- Experience working with children (formal or informal) is desirable
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of classroom management strategies
To Work with GSL Education as Teaching Assistant, You Should:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years
- Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
