Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Worthing. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs in achieving their academic and personal goals.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and learning or communication difficulties.
- Provide one-to-one or small group assistance to help pupils access learning and develop essential life skills.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies and individual education plans (IEPs).
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and self-confidence among pupils.
- Help create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and progress.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing to support targeted intervention.
Requirements for SEND TA:
- Previous experience working in an SEND or mainstream school environment is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and caring approach to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
