Job Title: SEN Support Assistant
Location: Chichester
Salary: £88.92 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Part-Time
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role
The SEN Support Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with additional learning needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in students’ learning experiences and contribute to their overall development and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN

  • Support classroom learning activities as directed by teaching staff

  • Assist with personal care needs when required

  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour

  • Help maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement strategies

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques

  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff

  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of individual learning needs

  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development
