Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Worthing
Salary: £88.92 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and engage fully in lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to implement learning strategies, monitor progress, and promote confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEN during lessons and activities, helping them access the curriculum effectively.

  • Assist with personal care where required, supporting the student’s daily needs.

  • Implement strategies to support learning, behaviour, and social development.

  • Monitor, observe, and report on pupil progress to teaching staff.

  • Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to adapt resources and ensure inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEN or additional needs.

  • Knowledge of child development, behaviour management, and inclusive teaching practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
