About the Role
As an SEMH Intervention Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ emotional and social development, helping them engage with learning and build confidence. You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored interventions and strategies that positively impact behaviour and learning outcomes.
Responsibilities

Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs both individually and in small groups

Deliver personalised interventions in line with SEN plans

Assist with behaviour management and implement strategies to support engagement

Promote positive relationships and support pupils’ emotional wellbeing

Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff

Support classroom learning as required
Qualifications
-
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or SEN needs

Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and personalised intervention

Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to a positive learning environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
