About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join the school team immediately. The role involves providing targeted support to pupils, helping them engage in lessons, develop key skills, and achieve their personal learning goals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys making a tangible difference to children’s education and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.

  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and activities to meet each pupil’s learning objectives.

  • Support pupils with personal care when required, maintaining dignity and respect.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and independence in classroom and playground settings.

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide consistent support across the school day.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil support plans and progress monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs or SEN is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusive teaching strategies.

  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, Health and Social Care, or Education Support are advantageous.

  • Must have the right to work in the UK and hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
