Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an empathetic and resilient educator to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal growth of pupils with additional learning needs.
Role Overview:
As a SEN Teacher, your role includes monitoring pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs, and fostering positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience, and inclusive participation in learning.
As a SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN.
- Develop and implement personalised learning and behaviour plans in collaboration with SENCOs and support staff.
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and wellbeing.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive behaviour, motivation, and resilience.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual development.
- Promote an inclusive and respectful classroom culture that values diversity and encourages all pupils to thrive.
Requirements for SEN Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
