Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Role Overview:
As an SEN TA, your role involves encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour, fostering a safe and inclusive classroom environment, and monitoring pupil progress to provide feedback that informs ongoing support.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN to help them access the curriculum.
- Assist teachers and SENCOs in implementing individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Help create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and wellbeing.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to adapt support as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging motivation, independence, and resilience.
- Promote an inclusive classroom culture where all pupils feel valued and respected.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
