A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Loughton is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team as soon as possible on a full-time, long-term basis.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you’ll be supporting both the class teacher and pupils to ensure every child feels confident and engaged in their learning. Your role will include:

Providing support to the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities

Working 1:1 and in small groups to help children build confidence and achieve their learning goals

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping create an inclusive, supportive environment

Assisting with preparing learning materials and classroom organisation

Promoting children’s social and emotional development as well as academic progress
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced in working with children (in a school or similar setting)
-
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about education

Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
-
A great communicator and team player
-
Reliable, flexible, and ready to make a difference
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience) would be an advantage, though not essential.
