Are you a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in a warm and supportive primary school?
A well regarded school in Chelmsford is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible on a full time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about supporting their learning and wellbeing within a nurturing school community.
The Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher and helping children in Year 1 and Year 2 reach their full potential. You’ll provide both general classroom assistance and targeted support to individual pupils or small groups.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:

Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery

Working with pupils 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence

Assisting with behaviour management and promoting a positive, inclusive atmosphere

Preparing learning materials and supporting classroom organisation

Encouraging pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

Working closely with colleagues to ensure all pupils are supported effectively
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced in working with children (school-based experience preferred)
-
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed

Able to use initiative and work well as part of a team
-
A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils and staff

Flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience) would be an advantage, but not essential for the right person.
