Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
GSL Education are seeking a motivated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in East Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Work closely with class teachers to implement tailored support strategies.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence in the classroom.
- Assist with classroom management and help create a positive, nurturing environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
- Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development to ensure their wellbeing and success.
Requirements for Learning Support Assistant:
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting (preferred but not essential).
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
