Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sheffield (S11). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to help pupils develop scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while achieving their full academic potential.

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across Key Stages in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire pupils to explore biology, chemistry, physics, and scientific concepts through practical and theoretical learning.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages progress and curiosity.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil achievement, ensuring all learners reach their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community to enhance teaching and learning standards.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a respectful, inclusive classroom culture.

Requirements for Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.
  • A creative, adaptable, and engaging approach to teaching.
  • A passion for inspiring young learners and fostering a love of science.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
