Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an empathetic and patient educator who strives to help every pupil reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the teacher in delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN.
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and academic progress.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to develop and implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation, resilience, and positive behaviour.
- Assist in monitoring pupil progress and adapting support to meet individual needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters respect and self-confidence.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with pupils with SEN or additional learning needs is highly desirable.
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
