Pay Scale: £150 - £250 per day – depending on experience and contract type

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Croydon. This role is ideal for a teacher who is committed to supporting students with additional learning needs and creating engaging lessons that inspire progress and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and Delivering Lessons: As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Individualised Support: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies to help every student reach their full potential.
• Assessment and Progress Tracking: Monitor and assess student progress, adapting your teaching methods and recording outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and motivated to learn.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and parents to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student development.
• Behaviour and Emotional Support: Use positive behaviour management techniques to support students with SEMH needs and promote emotional well-being.
• Safeguarding and Welfare: As an SEN Teacher, you will uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and ensure the safety and welfare of all learners.
• Professional Development: Engage in regular training and professional development to enhance your skills in SEN teaching strategies and inclusive education.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and proven experience working as an SEN Teacher or within specialist educational settings.
• A compassionate, patient, and adaptive approach to teaching, with the ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities.
• A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
