Job Title: SEMH Teacher

Pay Rate: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking an SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an empathetic and resilient educator who strives to help every pupil reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH needs.
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to develop and implement personalised learning and behaviour plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive behaviour, motivation, and resilience.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters respect and self-confidence.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification is essential.
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEMH or additional learning needs.
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
