This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start.

Position Overview

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lambeth, South London
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Immediate Start

Your Key Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an active role in providing tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students achieve their goals.

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.

  • Promoting positive behaviour through understanding and consistency.

  • Contributing to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is an advantage.

  • A calm, nurturing, and empathetic approach to children’s development.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
