Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in a warm and welcoming primary school in Chelmsford?
We’re working with a well-regarded school that prides itself on providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. The school is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
The Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development across the classroom. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons, provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, and encourage positive attitudes towards learning.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 with their learning, both in groups and individually

Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils build confidence and independence

Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation

Promoting inclusion and ensuring every child feels valued and supported
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced working with children in a school or similar setting (KS1 experience preferred)

Patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting children’s academic and emotional development

Confident working as part of a team and taking initiative when needed

Flexible, reliable, and passionate about helping young learners succeed
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
