Here at GSL education in Newcastle we are delighted to be working alongside a setting in Ashington and are looking for an exceptional Secondary Teaching Assistant
The setting believes in the potential of every young person and aims to deliver a high standard of education, delivering lessons that help develop each students character, their confidence and self-awareness. Working as part of a specialist Team you will assist cross class and 1-1 . You will work on enhancing academic achievement and positive behaviour . In this Teaching assistant role you will build rapport and create positive relationships.
You will be a strong and resilient behaviour manager leading always with kindness and positivity
This will be an immediate start and is Long term ! You will work Monday to Friday 8.30-3.30pm. This role is TERM TIME ONLY
This is a really interesting and varied role and we are looking for someone who has either Teaching Assistant experience in a similar setting or someone who wants to work in this area of education.
This role has a strong chance of going permanent for the right candidates
Requirements of this Teaching Assistant role
- Be able to work effectively alongside teaching staff providing emotional and academic support for pupils
- A passion for helping reluctant learners
- Good level of Maths and English
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to complete an application
- Kindness, enthusiasm and proactivity with great organisational skills
- Previous experience of working in schools or childcare settings
- Confident , friendly and hardworking
- The ability to build rapport quickly and develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils
