Job Title: Autism Support Worker
Location: Worthing
Pay Rate: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Worker to join a nurturing school in the Worthing area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with autism to develop their communication, social, and learning skills in a safe and inclusive environment.

As an Autism Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with autism.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering structured learning activities.
  • Encourage positive interactions, communication, and social development.
  • Support behaviour management and help create a calm, inclusive classroom.
  • Promote independence and confidence in pupils through consistent support.

Requirements for Autisom Support Worker:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with autism or additional learning needs.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
