SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Salary: £150 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?
GSL Education are seeking dynamic and experienced SEMH Teachers to join schools across Sheffield.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and supporting pupils with SEMH needs to achieve their full potential. You will plan and teach engaging lessons, provide one-to-one or small group support, and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Support pupils individually and in small groups to progress academically and emotionally.
- Develop and implement strategies to support positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
SEMH Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs in schools.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
