1:1 Tutor
Location: Beverley, Cottingham & Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire
Contract: Part-time / Flexible Hours
Start Date: Ongoing

GSL Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition for Key Stage 3 and GCSE students in Beverley, Cottingham, and Driffield. The role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to young people’s education by supporting them in core subjects, building confidence, and helping them reach their full potential.

About the Role as a Tutor:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored 1:1 tuition sessions in English, Maths, Science, or History.
  • Support students in preparing for KS3 assessments and GCSE exams.
  • Identify gaps in learning and develop strategies to help students progress.
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and resilience.

As the Ideal Tutor, you will have:

  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more of English, Maths, Science, or History.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience (classroom or 1:1).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to motivate and engage young people.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • QTS or tutoring/teaching qualifications are desirable, but experienced graduates will also be considered.
  • Knowledge and experience of tutoring and supporting young people with additional needs such as SEMH, OCD and Anxiety.
