Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S60)
Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Rotherham (S60). This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions.
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, and parents to ensure holistic support for pupils.

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary or secondary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN frameworks, strategies, and differentiation techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
