Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN4)
Salary: £150 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Start Date: Immediate

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? An exciting opportunity awaits you in Doncaster! GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive school environment, where every child is valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for students with SEMH needs.
  • Build trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistent support.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
