Job Opportunity for SEN Teacher in Sheffield
Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Job Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Salary: £150 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

A rewarding opportunity awaits you in Sheffield, where GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN
  • Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and families
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to support holistic development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or a strong interest in SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teacher, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
