Do you have the patience, resilience, and positivity to support children with behavioural needs?
We’re looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Loughton. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who need additional guidance to regulate their emotions, make positive choices, and re-engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.

Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote confidence and resilience.

Support classroom learning, ensuring children can access lessons successfully.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to develop tailored support plans.
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs (in schools, youth work, or similar settings).

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.

A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.

Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from school staff.

A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
