Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Mental Health
Location: Sutton
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (experience dependent)
Contract: Full-Time | Immediate Start

We are searching for a committed Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Mental Health to join a specialist SEN school in Sutton. The school supports young people aged 10–19 who face barriers to learning, including autism, complex sensory needs, and mental health challenges.
As a Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Mental Health, you’ll play a key role in ensuring students feel safe, valued, and supported in both their learning and personal development.
What You’ll Be Doing

Provide tailored support to children with a variety of additional needs, encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Work alongside teachers and therapists to put learning and care plans into practice.

Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing while helping to manage challenging behaviour in a positive way.

Encourage independence and social interaction for pupils with multiple complex needs.

Act as a consistent role model, providing encouragement and reassurance.
What We’re Looking For

Someone with experience as a Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Mental Health, ideally in schools, residential, or youth settings.

A patient and resilient individual who can remain calm under pressure.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Candidates able to provide a full career history and references.

Graduates and aspiring Teaching Assistants/Cover Supervisors are also welcome to apply.
